KRA Board announces preferred candidates and new President

TOPEKA – On Saturday, June 14, 2008, Kansas Republican Assembly (KRA) members met for their annual convention to elect a new President and to discuss and evaluate the Republican candidates for the following seats: United States Senate (US Senate), United State House of Representatives (US House), Kansas State Board of Education (SBOE), Kansas State Senate (KS Senate) and Kansas State House of Representatives (KS House).

Earlier this year former KRA President Helen Van Etten resigned her seat on the Board to begin preparing for her new role as National Committeewoman. She will hold that position after the RNC Convention in September. KRA members voted to install Don Small, Burlington, to fill out the remaining year of the term. Small formerly served as the 2nd District Vice-President of KRA.
